Liquid Resin Casting (LRC) is a technology that produces thermoset plastic articles from liquid resins (polyurethane, epoxy, acrylic, silicone, etc.) that are poured into flexible or rigid molds. This approach is characterized by low capital costs as compared to pressure molding, injection molding, RIM and similar technologies, and is much less costly than machining.
Among the cost-reducing features of LRC are lower tooling costs, much shorter lead times, and a unique flexibility to make design changes at any stage of the process, even during production. Parts produced with LRC are far superior in quality to products made by Stereo Lithography. All details from threads and textures to high gloss finishes come directly from the mold with tolerances of ±0.005". Closer tolerances can be reached with additional operations. The lead time for most jobs is only two to four weeks, depending on the specifications and complexity involved. We can produce and assemble complex units consisting of several separately cast parts.
